This is an aesthetic medicine treatment to reduce localised fat pads and combat cellulite, using low-frequency ultrasound. It is fundamental to distinguish medical cavitation from aesthetic cavitation, although they have the same name, the action they perform is very different. By law, in fact, only medical cavitation can penetrate deeply, thus acting on fat by reducing the adipose layer. Whereas aesthetic cavitation, which emits high-frequency ultrasound, acts superficially without penetrating the skin barrier. How the treatment is carried out
The experienced physician spreads a layer of gel or cream enriched with active ingredients on the area to be treated. He then performs the cavitation treatment by means of a handpiece, which is passed repeatedly with a light massage. The low-frequency ultrasound acts by breaking down the fat cells. After the treatment, the person disposes of the fat thus released, naturally, through urine. The session usually lasts about 30 to 40 minutes and the frequency is once a week. At the end of the lipocavitation or medical cavitation, our operator performs a lymphatic drainage treatment, manual or mechanical with pressure therapy, which promotes the expulsion of the freed fat. The equipment is equipped with a handpiece that is applied to the affected area and activates tissue suction via a vacuum system.
