What the shock wave is and how it works

Le shock waves are high-energy mechanical impulses that originated in urology in the 1970s and were later extended to orthopaedics and physiatry. In aesthetic medicine act on the adipose pannicles and on the microcirculation, triggering biological responses useful for:

• loosen fibrous septa which cause the “orange peel” effect;
• improve vascularisation e blood flow local;

Safety and contraindications

The method is generally well tolerated, but must be executed in the doctor's surgery by experienced personnel, with informed consent and anamnesis. È not recommended in case of heart disease, circulatory or oncological pathologies, pacemaker, metal prostheses in the area to be treated, and capillary fragility marked.
